Back in March, my editor showed me what had been drawn up for the cover of my newest book, Being Friends With Boys, which will be out in May 2012. In August 2011, it was finalized, and I shared it with you all.
But! Just last week, I got notified that the cover is being changed! We’re keeping the coffee cup, but going with a different color:
Apparently, it was thought the red was a little too Valentine-y. (Yes, even moreso than After the Kiss, with its candy hearts.) Personally, I love the blue. And it coordinates with my other titles especially well. What do YOU think?
Songs In My Head Upon Waking In the Last Week:
“True,” by Spandau Ballet; “Going Through the Motions,” by Bonnie Tyler; “Solsbury Hill, (Live)” Peter Gabriel and the New Blood Orchestra; “Solsbury Hill, (Live)” Peter Gabriel and the New Blood Orchestra (yes 2 days in a row); “No One’s Gonna Love You,” by Band of Horses; “Too Many Dicks on the Dance Floor,” by Flight of the Conchords (which is so good, I’m including the video below); “Bad Reputation,” by Freedy Johnson
