In my house, we launch fireworks to celebrate all kinds of things, not just the 4th of July. (Though we like those fireworks a lot, as well.) We have them on birthdays, during the AJC Decatur Book Festival, when friends are over in the back yard . . . pretty much any time we’re feeling festive, you can find a firework or two around our house.
This week, there’s cause for LOTS of fireworks. Yes, sure, the Independence Day thing,
but ALSO because The Summer of Firsts and Lasts has just gone into its third printing, after only two months of being released in paperback. This has happened thanks to you, and you, and you, and youandyouandyou.
So, in order to show my appreciation, I want to unleash some fireworks of my own. Leave a comment answering the question, “What does the word ‘fireworks’ mean to you?” and you’ll get the chance to win one of SIX personalized copies of The Summer of Firsts and Lasts. You have until Tuesday, July 10th!
Meanwhile, have fun with the official fireworks, and whatever ones you create of your own! I’ll be shooting some off in my back yard with all of you great readers in my mind!
