Yesterday, via the fabulous UPS man (and my editrix), I received my very first copy of Pure in paperback! Now, we all know that the hardcover version, designed by Cara Petrus, was deliciously fabulous, but let me be the first to say that the paperback (also designed by Cara) is EQUALLY BEAUTIFUL AND YUMMY! Even better, Pure in paperback has got a SNEAK PEEK of After the Kiss, and reading the preview segment –even though I wrote the thing– made me go “Ohmygah I cannot wait to read this book!” Official launch is April 6th, so mark your calendars!

Equally exciting, however, is that Pure is being included in this terrific trivia challenge in libraries all over the country. Kay Cassidy, author (The Cinderella Society, book lover, and pretty much keen lady all around, has put together a “The Great Scavenger Hunt Contest”, a FREE reading program for libraries to use in order to help expose kids to new, exciting, interesting, challenging and plain old good books. (Participating authors include, to name a few: E.D. Baker, P.C. amp; Kristin Cast, my pal Eileen Cook, Dan Gutman, Ellen Hopkins, Ridley Pearson, Cynthia Leitich Smith, and a literal slew of others!)
I got to come up with ten different trivia questions about Pure (For example: “What are the ingredients of Tabitha’s favorite salad?”), which readers will answer and turn in to their participating librarian. Participants who get 8 (or more) out of 10 answers right will be submitted to Kay, and she chooses the winner, who receives a $50 gift card to the bookstore of their choice. The winner’s library also gets a huge book tote filled with The Great Scavenger Hunt books! This is an amazing program that over 500 libraries participate in, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it. Thanks, Kay, and happy hunting to all you scavengers in the program!
