Writing Workshops With Me in February!

“If you want to be a writer, you must do two things above all others: read a lot and write a lot. There’s no way around these two things that I’m aware of, no shortcut.”
?Stephen King, On Writing

For the month of February, in order to help writers both read a lot and write a lot, I’m offering two different workshops: one for teen writers, and one for adults. In these workshops you will get feedback on your own work (20 pages max) from me, but also sharpen your skills by responding to others’ work!

WORKSHOP FOR TEENS
Mondays, February 4, 11, 18 & 25
4:30-6:00 pm; Cost: $275. Ages 12-16

WORKSHOP FOR ADULTS:

Wednesdays, February 6, 13, 20 & 27 from 6:00-7:45 pm; Cost: $300.

Both workshops will be held at Little Shop of Stories in Decatur, GA. Sessions will be discussion-based, focusing on response to work submitted by each participant, as well as writing exercises that will focus on a particular aspect of writing improvement.

But don’t just take my word for it:

I left every class feeling as though I had both made great strides as a writer, and had been affirmed in my strength . . . Terra’s thoughtful critiques alone were worth the price of admission.”
Annette Laing, author of The Snipesville Chronicles

There are spaces left, and I’d love to have you! Please email me at terramcvoy[at]gmail[dot]com to sign up!
